What are SOAR grants?

Dignity provides security, opportunity, advocacy, rapid response (SOAR) grants to organizations for short-term initiatives to counteract urgent threats or respond to emerging opportunities such as proposed or recently passed legislation, sudden government crackdowns, increased levels of violence or other emergent dangers/trends, or to take advantage of time-bound advocacy opportunities.                   

WHat projects are eligible for support?

•  Proposed initiative is urgent and responds to emerging opportunities for LGBTQI+ rights or intensifying threats to civil society organizations or activists 

• Proposed project is short-term (<6 months) and clearly addresses the conditions they seek to change 

• *Funds cannot cover core operations or programmatic activities
